As part of this research, Britain Thinks would like to speak to a range of different haulage companies to better understand how to support them.
There are no right or wrong answers and any insights provided will be incredibly valuable in supporting the Government to gather evidence, to aid better resilience planning and understanding how EU Exit and Covid-19 have impacted haulage companies.
How can I take part in this research?
Britain Thinks are looking to interview Haulage Managers or those who have good knowledge of their company’s operations. This would involve a telephone/virtual interview at a convenient time of your choice lasting around 45 minutes.
As a thank you for taking part, we will offer £75 in the form of vouchers to a range of retailers to those taking part, or you can opt to donate it to the charity, The Lifeboat Fund.
What do I need to prepare?
There is nothing to prepare in advance, but the interviews will cover the following topics:
- The route planning and decision making processes by haulage companies at UK ports since the UK’s exit from the EU and since the pandemic
- Any challenges faced in route planning and crossings
- Any experiences of dealing with disruption at ports
- Opportunities and challenges facing the haulage industry going forward
How will my answers be used and stored?
Britain Thinks abides by the Market Research Society code of conduct. This means that everything shared will be completely confidential and findings will be anonymised in the reporting. Britain Thinks will hold name and contact information for up to 12 months for quality monitoring purposes only and will not pass on any personal data to any third party.
