CDS Frequently Asked Questions – Updated 8th June 2022

Just a reminder that it is HMRC’s intention to close CHIEF to new import entries on the 30^th September 2022. As part of the ongoing dialogue with HMRC, BIFA endeavours to provide the formal answers to its Member’s questions and publicise them as widely as possible to all members.

Please find attached a CDS Q&A document which has been prepared by HMRC in response to Members questions. The questions and answers are accurate at the time of writing (8th June 2022) but certain forthcoming IT releases to upgrade CDS may change certain these answers.
